Panama – “Oh wie schoen ist Panama”
Auf meiner bisher kurzen aber ereignissreichen Reise habe ich bereits viele Entscheidungen treffen muessen und egal, ob ich sie kurz darauf als gut oder schlecht empfunden habe, haben sie mich dorthin gebracht hat, wo ich heute bin. Nicht nur was die Reise betrifft, sondern mein ganzes bisheriges Leben. Und ich bin gluecklich darueber, daerueber, das ich die Moeglichkeit habe, dass zu tun, wozu ich Lust habe und darueber, wo ich in diesem Augenblick bin, naemlich schon (noch) in Panama 
Eigentlich wollte ich mich nur nach den Abfahrtszeiten fuer Busse nach Panama erkundigen, doch zwei Stunden spaeter sass ich schon im Bus nach Panama City. Gerne haette ich mehr von Costa Rica gesehen aber die Umstaende haben es irgendwie nicht zugelassen. Zum einen hatte Pech bei der Auswahl des Hostels, was mir ueberhaupt nicht gefallen hat, zum anderen zieht es mich irgendwie nach Suedamerika, so dass ich schon uebermorgen auf dem Segelboot nach Kolumbien sitzen wrede. Am Grenzuebertritt zu Panama, hat sich meine chaotische aber intensive Reisevorbereitung zum ersten mal ausgezahlt. Die Grenzen in Zentral Surdamerika sind mit denen in Europa nicht zu vergleichen. Kein Rastplatz vor und hinter der Grenze. Vielmehr gleicht das Grenzgebiet einem kleinen Dorf. Fressbuden, “DUTY FREE-Shops”, Staende, usw…. Es obliegt dir, ob du etwas von einem der vielen Haendler kaufst, die Angebote der Waehrungshaendler akzeptierst oder den Kauf eines angeblich benoetigten Rueckreisetickets durch ein wenig Handlungsgeschick vermeidest. Letztendlich bist du trotz der vielen Mitreisenden fuer einen kurzen aber ewig scheinenden Moment auf dich selbst gestellt.
Die Busfahrt war lange aber sehr unterhaltsam Bereits nach einer Stunde Fahrt durch die wunderschoene Berglandschaft Costa Ricas ging es nicht mehr weiter. Der Bus steckt fest und zwar in einer Kurve auf einer Strasse, die so steil war, dass ich Muehe hatte normal zu stehen. Kein Auto kam mehr vorbei und so versammelten sich ruck zuck Dutzende von Menschen um den Bus. Keiner schien boese zu sein, dass es nicht mehr weiter geht. Sie fanden es eher lustig und waren bemueht ein Loesung zu finden. Ich haette ehrlich gesagt nicht gedacht, dass der Bus die Strecke packt aber eine knappe Stunde spaeter hat sich der Bus mit qualmenden Reifen aus der Kurve gewuchtet und die Fahrt fortgesetzt. 17 Stunden spaeter dann eine Ueberraschung. Am Horizont zeichnete sich vor der aufgehenden Sonne die Skyline von Panama ab. Ich muss gestehen, dass ich mich vorher ueber Panama ueberhaupt nicht informiert habe und so war ich voellig ueberrascht zum ersten mal hier in Zentralamerika Wolkenkratzer zu sehen. Panama ist nicht ueberhaupt nicht schoen aber wahnsinnig interessant. Es gibt vieles zu entdecken. Muesste ich morgen nicht weiter, waere mir Panama sicherlich eine Woche wert. Gestern sass ich mit ein paar anderen vom Hostel und Mathew, den ich auf der Fahrt nach Panama kennengelernt habe unten an der Strasse vorm Hostel, um eine zu Rauchen und ein paar Bier zu trinken, bis ein paar Militaers zu uns kamen und die Ausweise sehen wollten. in Panama ist es verboten, Alkohol auf der Strasse zu trinken. Anstatt einer Aufforderung ins gerade mal einen Meter entferte Hostel-Areal zu gehen, haben uns die Beamten aufgefordret, mit ins Police-Office zu kommen oder eine Strafe von 40 USDollar zu zahlen, die natuerlich in deren Tasche geflossen waere. Nach langem hin und her sind wir mit den hoch ins Hostel. Die Besitzerin des Hostels hat super reagiert und uns schnell in die Wohnung gezogen, da die Polizei hier nicht in die Wohungen darf. Fast 4 Stunden spaeter war dann alles geregelt. Alle, auch die die ihre Reisepass aus der Hand gegeben hatten, hatten ihn wieder und wir waren um ein paar Erfahrungen reicher. Heute habe ich mir eine Schleuse am Panama-Kanal angeschaut (muss man gesehen haben) und morgen fahre ich an die Ostkueste Panamas fuer sage und schreibe 2,50$. Die zwei Tage hier waren super. Ich habe richtig viel Spass gehabt. Hier im Hostel sind viele verrueckte aber sehr offene Menschen. Jetzt bin ich richtig gespannt auf den Segelturn. Hoffentlich haenge ich nicht die ganze Fahrt ueber nicht an der Rehling

ich muss zu meiner Schande gestehen habe ich schon gute zwei Wochen nichtmehr hier drauf geschaut. Jetzt sitzte ich allerdings schon gut ne halbe Stunde mit offener Kinnlade da und fange vor Fernweh an zu sabbern. UNd ich bin etwas neidisch auf Mathew…. ich will auch mal wieder mit dir am Strassenrand sitzen und ein Bier trinken
